The site has been down for about 2 days for no apparent reason, sorry about that. Anyway it’s back up now and I’ve revamped Inspiring, my art gallery with new gallery features like categorization of my work and new, bigger and nicer thumbnails . Also, I added a ‘updates’ section on my sidebar to post the latest updates of the site.

I just came back from the second day of my orientation. It was tiring, the first day was uneventful. I got to know my new classmates for 2 years and well, there are only 16 people in my class. To say the truth, some of them definitely weren’t friendly o.O. Only 5 people including myself turn up today, many did not want to come and I don’t know why. There’s this communication problem in my class. It’s a lot worse than my secondary school classes when we were famous for being un-united. This one was in fact worse. I miss my old class and friends . I wonder how to get along with my new classmates for 2 years. Although a few of them were friendly and could get along pretty well with me. There’s one girl who doesn’t want to talk to the rest of us at all, I sense a serious case of communication breakdown here. I won’t have any tutorial classes next week, all of them were canceled thus I only need to attend the lectures and IS classes I need some sleep so going to continue later tonight. :sleep:

I was chatting with one of my old classmates yesterday and we came to the topic of starting school in a polytechnic. So, the conversation goes…

Friend: So are you excited?
Me: Hmm… not really.
Friend: Why? I’m so excited for school to start.
Me: When school starts its like starting all over again.

That was how I feel about starting school anyway. It’s like turning back time to 10 years ago when I first step into the classroom in primary 1. New friends, new things to learn, new environment and what not. How am I going to enjoy when I spend majority of my time adapting?

Anyway, this new default theme is actually for the month of June. I thought I wouldn’t have time to make on next month so just pretend it’s June :P It was my version of Jowra’s Relaxation theme called “Simplicity”. I love the bunny at the top. Doesn’t she looks adorable? It’s similar to Wang Wang, the rabbit I own :heart:. That’s the reason why I put the bunny there. Do you guys like this layout? I love it !!! I wrote my first graphic tutorial, Butterfly Effect. It was the same effect I use to create the different digital butterflies. Hope someone will find it useful and I would greatly appreciate it if someone would give me feedback on this tutorial.

Does tea has the same effect as coffee? I slept at 8.30 am in the morning 2 days ago because I drank 3 cups of tea on that day. But I sleep like a log until 3 in the afternoon the next day o.O. I’m restricted to drinking only 2 now and I’ve got 1 already. I guess I’m a tea addict. I’m having dark circles and eye bags already. I didn’t know it would have this effect. Darn those tea…

I went to the Convention Programme 05/06 today, or should I say yesterday since it’s past midnight already. The speech was not as dull and boring as I had pictured. It had know more about Ngee An after the principal (er, I can’t remember his name uzzled: ) gave his little “talk”. So, the entire school has about 14,000 students and the freshmen took up 4,800 of them. We are the dragon babies . Anyway, I got to print out a copy of my timetable before leaving school and I was not too pleased with the arrangement but what can I do… My course schedule was hectic. I was taking 24 hours of lectures, tutorials and word shop (not too sure what WA stands for) while my friend take only 15 hours for the entire week. Maybe hers is a new course, Higher Chinese studies, thus the modules she took was less than mine. I’m going to be in school for about 5 hours or more everyday except Wednesday. This is my chance to ramble about this before school starts on the 24th.

The CCA Fiesta was also on the same day. Thus, I took the chance to visit the booths and finally after much squeezing and receiving tons of fliers from the different CCAs. I decided to join the Astro Club and the Alliance Club. The Astro Club pretty much deals with the stars, universe, making new friends (is that consider?), I find it a very interesting activity. Secondly, the Alliance Club is sort of like a small charity organisation of the school. With my time table, I reckon I could only afford to squeeze in time for these two.

I’ve not yet get to the tutorial which I was planning to write a few days ago . So, anything new this time? I’m thinking of making a series of layouts based on the theme Nature and Animals. The current layout is one such example. It should be easy since I found the plugin to switch themes .
