Matriculation Package

Posted in: School

Finally after a very long wait, I received my enrollment package, known as the matriculation package. There are so many forms to fill up and after spending an hour looking through them, I still have got no idea what I’m suppose to do, mostly with the GIRO and CPF forms. It’s giving me a headache already, I never knew applying for the course would be so tedious. There’s also the tuition fee grant to apply for and many others. I think I’m the last batch to receive the mail since the school told us to reply to them before 8 of April and it’s 7 today. I guess I’ll have to give them the student identification card details on the day of registration then. It’s on next Friday 10 in the morning to 12 in the afternoon. I’m afraid I’ll fill up the wrong information on the forms, everything is so complicated. There’s a different colored forms for the different stations. So, all I have to do is go to the school on that day and submit all the forms. Seems easy but it’s hard to figure out everything.

The school rules are little though, just a small paragraph to summarize everything. So, we’re not allowed to wear singlet and slippers to school. That’s it! I was wondering if singlet is the same of sleeveless shirts though. Sandals? Slippers? The terms are kind of confusing here but my cousin who is currently a student at Ngee An told me that these rules doesn’t really apply since no one follow them and the lecturers don’t mind at all. My sister used to wear sandals to school but I’ve never seen her with sleeveless shirts or blouses though. I’ve to check this rule out. But on the safer side, I think wearing tee on Friday would be more appropriate.

I’m so annoyed with the CPF payment for my school fees. My Dad is currently overseas working and he won’t be back in time to sign the form, they had mentioned that I have to submit the form by next Friday. Also, my Mum doesn’t have enough savings in her CPF account to pay for my school fees. So now what? I’ve to go to the CPF Board on Saturday to clarify things and to mail out the student identification slip tomorrow. Actually, I can hand in on next Friday, I’m still thinking about it. It might be because I’m worried that the mail would be late or gone missing. Worrying too much these days, I should learn to think positive. I’m bored being crop up at home the entire day thus I put up a new layout for my guest book and also updated disclaimer, thoughts and added a new doodle. I’ve still left with 3 reviews to complete, I’m going to make myself busy with those next week since I’ve to settle my enrollment first.

Mixed feelings

Posted in: School

I went with Sharon and Benjamin to K-Box today. It seems like the waiter there knew us already since we went there so often. He was always the one who serves us and the weird thing was, he’s also always the one to tell us the wrong price and asked us What day is today? I was kind of amused by the fact that he didn’t know the day of the week when he’s working. Singaporeans call that blur. Another thing we realise was that the people working that always knock before they enter the room, basic courtesy but they enter right after they knocked. We didn’t even say they could come in or what. Just a thought, they might be too eager to get their job done I guess.

I’m still waiting for my enrollment package. I’m kind of worried that the mail is lost in the sending process or something like that. I hope not, most of my friends had already received the package. Students going to Singapore Polytechnic are required to go for a full body check up. I wondered if there are such a rule in Ngee An. From what I heard, apparently there are none.

As you can see, I’ve updated the site with a new layout and also organized the snapshots page archiving them by months; links are found on the sidebar. I decided to keep a photo log now, which is the snapshots section. I enjoy spending time taking photographs now; my new hobby to keep me occupied. The first entry for April is added, it consist of photographs of my pet rabbit. Some updating are also done to the section about me, more detailed information are added. Buttons that match the new layout are added for you to link my site with. There’s also bits and pieces of minor updates here and there. I’ve also been quite irritated by some people who submit their sites to be reviewed. I pen down my opinions about webpage reviews today. This is purely my opinion and how I feel, I’m sorry if you disagreed with me, you can have your own thoughts about it. Feel free to voice out your displeasure about my thoughts by e-mailing me :) Yesterday, someone posted a question for me through the F.A.Q.

I really adore the blends you have in your art archive. Could you make some blends available for people to use/download? I totally understand if you’re too busy to make any, I was just wondering since they are beautiful.

Firstly, thank you for your compliments. To answer your question, I will not make any blends for the public to use/manipulate into their own layouts even if I have the time, which I do in this case. If you are looking for a webpage with free beautiful graphics for you to use, you’ve come to the wrong place. This is my personal webpage about me, not a visitors freebies website. I hope you get what I mean.

If anyone cannot view the top image on the current layout, please inform me. Also, any solutions or suggestions on how to fix it will be appreciate. Thank you.

Accountancy

Posted in: School

I have been successfully posted into Accountancy in Ngee An Polytechnic. Yea! I received the letter from MOE yesterday. The cut off point this year was 15. Thankfully, I manage to squeeze in with 13 points. =) I’m so excited for the new school year to start. I’m not crazy, if that is what you are wondering, just that it has been almost half a year since last November that I went to school. I miss school life though, and my friends of course. Life has been smooth sailing for me so far. I pray it will continue this way. Anyway, I’m waiting for my enrollment package to arrive so that I could register at school. It’s better to get this done as soon as possible, been some kind of a burden to me. Weird.

It was said by some of those polytechnic students that Accountancy is not an easy course as compared to the rest of the courses available. However I did not regret my choice though. I’m going to ace the course. Daydreaming. =) Guess I would just have to work extra hard since I don’t have the basic foundation in POA. I’m beginning to doubt myself on this since I’m not known to be someone hardworking in school. Sigh. There might be hope if I could adapt to the new environment. Poly life is totally different from secondary school life. A new environment, new friends, new stuffs to study. I’m still wondering if I would be able to live through my poly life.
