Porcelain Heels

New Monalisa Glasses
Before I start one of my little “talks of the day” again. Have a look at the tiny shoes on the left. It was a gift from mum when we went “exploring” last Friday. We walked from Lavender (to collect my new passport) all the way to Bugis and we chance about this pottery shop that sell beautiful potteries and household wares. I just happen to saw this pair of porcelain shoes on sales at SGD 4.90 and it’s a beauty. I don’t wear such heels (to be exact, I don’t really wear heels at all) so I think I’ll have one of these at home to admire.
And surprise surprise… I got myself new glasses with the GST credits from the government. I’m contributing to the economy (this is my excuse for everything now).
I got these beautiful Monalisa glasses for SGD 200 (click on the thumbnail to view the full size photo), I love them even though they make me look like a nerd, the lenses are a bit too large for my face but please tell me I look okay.
I am starting to feel that the frame is a bit too large but I still love it a lot. It has little crystals at the side. The colour is wrong in the photo though, it’s more metallic purplish pink rather than red and it isn’t as bright as the photo looks. Mr Chewy isn’t going to like it. He hate me in framed glasses. I use to wear frame-less glasses in the past. I place the nerdy photo of myself under the cut, I don’t wish to scare you off you know.

Missy is currently testing out a new way to get motivation and concentration to study hard for her exams. Let me introduce the new equation…
cute notebooks = a happier me = study harder = better results
This might sounds a little stupid but I think it works for me. When I write my study notes on a nicer and cuter notebook, I am more tempted to study and read it. I will go “aww, it’s so cute, I should read it instead of abandoning it at the corner”.
Hence, I went to Artbox at Jurong Point and got 2 new notebooks. I am so glad they open a new Artbox store at Jurong Point so I can save all the travelling time as the next nearest store is at AMK Hub.

Notebooks from Artbox (SGD 7.90 & 6.90 each)
I got the cheapest ones due to budget constraints. My dad was like “do you really need such expensive notebooks to write notes?” to which I reply “yea, I’m more motivated that way”. He nearly fainted.
I think I can really study for a longer period of time without getting distracted by my computer. If you have a problem with concentration and motivation when you study, you might wish to try this out. Results are not guaranteed though.
On a side note, can anyone help with this issue? The smilies aren’t showing up for some people.
I’m self motivating myself to complete 4 chapters of my CF today. It should be the easier topics since it’s the first few chapters. It’s 2 in the afternoon and I’m only starting my studies now because I was busy redesigning the library “sidebar” in the spirit page. I thought it might be more space saving if I put it into a small box at the right (like the ones in the index page) instead of putting it below.
I’ll be posting some photographs of yesterday’s family outing. We went to visit the temple at Toa Payoh for prayers before heading to grandpa’s place. I shall continue tonight!
