The wind woke me up at about 7.30 in the morning yesterday. My room was surprising dark and hence I jump out of bed to see this …
The first 2 photos were taken during sunrise and the rest were taken slightly after. I’m assuming those “grey things” in the first 2 photographs are the dark clouds. I have never seen anything like those before yesterday so I thought I’ll share.
Anyway, it was the right weather to be in bed so I went back to sleep after snapping those.
On a side note, I redid the design for the comments, breadcrumb navigation and finally put my library back online. I have done cross browsers checks for the comments design thus it should shows up correctly in the latest browsers. If anything is look wonky, please let me know. Tell me what you think of the new design as well, hope you like it!
I was going to stick with the design from the Dear Diary layout but after a week, I realised that the comments doesn’t really match this new layout.
Let me just do a short advertisement for the Site Glamour Contest.
We currently have 13 participants and a few more sponsors will be added shortly. I’m hoping to have a few more participants so please do check out the contest page and join us for a chance to win some wonderful prizes. :spin:

The first photo looks absolutely creepy. Those low-hanging clouds (if they are rotating) are usually the first signs of a tornado forming. But if they are static (this is Singapore, after all), then they are just … clouds. Haha.
I absolutely love storms, especially if they are in the middle of the night. Perfect weather to sleep in.

Hey Dayna.
Oh wow, those photographs are amazing. I love the angles you took them from, and also the contrast.
I love storms, it’s kind of depressing though. I can never seem to get anything done, or want to do anything while they’re around though. o.O
I really love this layout, especially the header; it makes me smile.
I also like the way the navigation is placed too, pretty funky.
I’ve emailed you back about the contest, and my site is back open now so, you can do what you need to do.

I love the photographs you took! They’re very nice and clear. I think I need a better camera to take photos of because I can’t really take nice ones with mine. :\ Or maybe it’s me and I cannot take any photos.
Oh wells.
Good luck with your contest! I hope tons more join!!
Shopping is fun, but not when you didn’t buy anything from the mall.
It sucks! I didn’t buy any clothes or anything &I went there just to get something.
Take care<3

Absolutely gorgeous photos! I love storms, but I can never seem to take good photos of them. One of my biggest goals is to take a great photo of lightning but I am always unsuccessful.

Ah, I remember that morning! I wanted to head out for breakfast at around 7.30am too but then the clouds told me to stay in my room – and shortly after that, rain fell like a god-sized bucket from the sky
The rain was so bad that I couldn’t head to the bus stop because not only the campus shuttle bus system was overwhelmed but also because all the bus stops were crammed with people right to the edge of the roofs. In the end I decided to walk instead – I was drenched a little but walking in the rain with an umbrella knowing that you’re going to be dry is the best feeling ever
Nice photos of the rain clouds! It’s kind of eerie to see the rising sun in the distance to be overtaken by the rolling dark rain clouds.

Oh, I have a phobia walking in the rain when there is lightning. The thunder is so loud, I’m afraid I’ll get stuck.
My photographs are nothing compared to yours.
Those photographs may be eerie but I think it’s really quite rare to see such scenes. I’ve been living in the same place in Jurong for the past 12 years and this was the first time I’ve seen such a raining scene. It’s like “hey, there are actually some pretty interesting sights in Singapore”.

What a nice simple little blog

Oh man! That’s what I’ve been seeing where I live. It’s been raining here for about a week. The clouds looked so ominous and gloomy. Great photos you’ve taken!

Thank you!
I was actually kind of worried the new comments design might be too messy.

I used to get so scared when the sky turned dark like that. I was always afraid that a tornado was going to come. Now, I kinda like storms. I find rain and thunder so peaceful.

Me too! I thought I was the only one that find rain and thunder peaceful. I love the sound of rain. It never fails to calm me down.
