My stupid laptop, Hp Compaq nx5000, is giving me a big problem. Whenever I try to boot the laptop, there is a system disk error which I cannot fix.
My friend is helping me fix it next week and hopefully this error will be gone forever. :bored: I’ve done the following
- Enter BIOS and change the boot options to boot my hard disk first
- Scan my entire laptop but it’s virus free
- There are no CD, floppy disk, thumbdrive or whatever inside my laptop
- My hard disk is working properly because I did a hard disk scan
- I press Ctrl+Alt+Del, windows continue to load and work as usual
So, I don’t see why there is an error!!! :sigh: My hard disk has crashed before and this is a new hard disk so I don’t get the problem. I hate it when my laptop is having errors. Stupid Hp laptops
By the way, I tried this program CCleaner recommended by a friend and it works and “cleans up” my laptop really well. My laptop does not lagged at all and runs faster than before. In addition, it also cleans up all the unwanted files etc and saves me some space on my hard disk (for mine, it’s about 1.5 MB more hard disk space). :hugs: If your desktop or laptop is lagging, perhaps you might want to try that out. (:

My bf’s laptop has been acting up lately too. It lags a lot. I’ll tell him about CCleaner.
Hope your laptop can be fixed soon.

Hmmm dear ben… I don’t think so though because the only software I installed on my laptop that is not “original” does not cause any problems so far for the past year I have used on my laptop and also my desktop. I think you know that too since that software was from you.

i can feel how you were so agitated when your laptop starts surfacing problems. perhaps it’s the pirated software you’ve installed? computers are always vulnerable to these problems and it is a pain and troublesome procedure to go through all sorts of tests to diagnose what’s the problem. hope you won’t have to send to HP for servicing!
