It seems like time past extremely fast these few weeks. January speed by and now it’s going to be Chinese New Year soon! This also means that my final mocks are coming and I do not even have at least 50% progress in my revision. I always feel that having examinations right after the Chinese New Year is a terribly bad plan. We can’t even enjoy our new year without having to worry about the upcoming exams. I am determine to catch up on my studies over the next 2 weeks and enjoy a relaxing new year instead. “I shall worry about that later” is one of my undesirable tagline.
My check-list for the new year:
- Chinese New Year decorations – Check!
- Spring cleaning – Check!1
- New clothes – Check!2
- New Year goodies, snacks, chocolates, drinks and food – Check!
- Mahjong table – Check! We bought a new one after one of ours was stolen a few weeks back.

- Prepare my stomach to welcome all the delicious food and snacks – Check!

I am SO ready to celebrate CNY! My celebration will be on the paltry side this year as I’m away from home, but I’m still pumped cause it’s my favorite holiday

I try to set things aside and worry about them later, but just the fact that I’m going to have to deal with it eventually sucks. Having exams after Chinese New Year is definitely not a great idea!
I hope you enjoy the celebrations

Wow! You guys are ready for this holiday!
We used to put all the new decorations and have the little sticks with flowers and the box of candies as well. But this year, nothing is up. :\ I don’t think there is a big effort with this upcoming new years. All we have are Chinese tamales out. That’s it. Nothing else. I guess with what happened to me this year, it kind of got my family down in the dumps about it. Indeed it got me down. I am not even looking forward to it as I do in previous years. But don’t let that get you down.
Happy Chinese New Years (early)!

That’s just evil, having exams right after Chinese New Year. Mine are right after my Easter holiday, so I’ll have 2 weeks of constant studying followed by 2 weeks of exam leave which will be constant studying. Oh, how I look forward to April and May.
I love your nails though! XD And the food looks amazing. I wish we celebrated Chinese New Year here. :L

Haha I went to Resorts World Sentosa a few weeks ago. The place doesn’t feel like Singapore (maybe because the absence of kiasu Singaporeans makes this place more magical, it’s rather empty now). Very beautiful and promising looking! Some parts reminded me of Genting Highlands, maybe it’s because the same company is behind these 2 tourist attractions, so they hired the same architect or something.

Ah ha! I know how that feels. I am waiting for the crowd to die down before visiting the place. It’s no fun when it’s packed like sardines! I have to say I haven’t been to the theme park at Genting Highlands but I’m really looking forward to taking lots of photographs at the new park.

Wow! Nice pictures! The food looks really yummy! (And I love your nails)

That just sucks, hate it when exams are after a holiday, really now!

My family observes Chinese New Year even though we’re not really Chinese nor Buddhists. =D It really sucks though since I can’t go to my friend’s party since we’re celebrating Chinese New Year’s Eve.

I feel so excited after reading this blog. It’s a shame that you have exams after Chinese New Year – surely they should have spared a thought for you guys who celebrate the holiday! I wish you good luck though – they are mock exams so I’m pretty sure that means you have another chance later on if you don’t do well this time around.
I got very excited seeing your pineapple tarts because they are a treat enjoyed very much in my family. My mum and I cooked some ourselves. It’s time consuming to make but very worth it, as they are very delicious.
I love your nails! The only glittery kind I have is yellow, and the polish is getting rather old. :O
When I went to Singapore a few years back, I visited Sentosa and I had a really great time. I didn’t spend a lot of time there but I hope that next time I do, I will have a bigger chance of seeing all the sights there are to see. I don’t recall if it was there or not but there is a night Safari that I didn’t get a chance to go to. :P
