Dayna wishes everyone a very Happy New Year, may everyday in 2009 be filled with happiness, laughter, fun, love and everything wonderful. Here’s a summary of our countdown celebration. We had MacDonald breakfast at Jurong Point, followed by the movie Ip Man. The movie was better than what I had expected. The action scenes were good, plot was not too bad, ending was okay. We then went food shopping at NTUC and Sheng Shiong Supermaket for our steam boat. Michelle and I had also gotten a black forest cake from “The Icing Room” at SGD 28. We saw a kid doodling on their custom cake. It’s funny to look at, I wonder how they will feel when eating the cake, laugh or … …?

Our food for steamboat

Steamboat Soup - Are you hungry?

Our cooks of the day - Zi Loong & Te Wei

BBQ-ing
The cake has 21 candles because all of us are turning 21 in year 2009. We thought it would be fun to make wishes and blow out the candles so we did it. I love blowing out candles and making lot of wishes!
I hope they come true.

Fireworks at Boon Lay Countdown Part 2009

More fireworks at the party

This is my favourite photo of the fireworks

Me playing with sparkers like a kid (I am a 20 year old kid)

This is dear (he is a kid too)
How did you spend your new year? I watched Taiwan Countdown party too, this year there aren’t many nice singers but their fireworks display was stunning as usual.

Sparklers are so fun to play with! My brother and I love to bend the handles and flick them up into the trees, so the trees around our backyard look like light features!
It looks like you had a joyous new year’s eve celebration. I wish you all the best for the year 2009!

Happy New Year to you too, Dayna! (:
Golly, there were quite a lot of fireworks booming around Singapore yesterday weren’t there? I didn’t get to see any of them, apart from the Marina Bay fireworks on television. (Which doesn’t really count because I didn’t see them for real.)

Thank you. Happy New Year to you too! Yup, there were 26 countdown parties in Singapore if I’m not wrong. I didn’t manage to catch the Marina one on TV. I heard the one at Marina was stunning. :woot:

Wha? 26?! Meh.. Kedah in Malaysia didn’t have one if I’m not mistaken. eeep, I missed your old smiley but I love this one – o.O

Yup, 26. This year has more parties than last year, but the most prominent ones were at Sentosa and Marina.
I find the old smilies too small, I can’t see their face expression clearly. I love this one, especially the devil
