Christmas is my favourite festival season and hence I decided to share photographs of how Christmas is like in Singapore. It’s pretty easy to spot the arrival of Christmas in Singapore. The trees, trim shops, sales and special Christmas catalogues will start popping up. Everywhere screams “It’s Christmas!”.
This is a “How do you know Christmas is coming?” meme and I’m tagging everyone who’s reading this post to blog about your personal experiences. I’ll love to know how you spot the Christmas season. Is it the beautifully decorated trees? Turkeys on sale? Trim shops or…?

Oh wow that is amazingly festive! I have not really spotted Christmas yet, but we just had the annual Santa Claus parade in our town and malls are starting to put up Christmas decorations! I love Christmas!

Oh my gosh, amazing, amazing. I went to Singapore two years ago for Christmas and the lights down Orchard were so beautiful! It just keeps getting better, from the look of your photos. I think you have better decorated trees than Australia. :P
I’ve already written a post for tonight so I might save this one for later!

I certainly LOOVEE CHRISTMAS!!
haha I love it because it’s a season of CHANGE. Plus it’s a very meaningful season for me because it is the celebration of the birth of Christ!

I just love Christmas as well, it’s not the presents and food that makes it special, it’s just the season and feeling, plus the family
. I really can’t wait for it this year
.
Take care! <3

Oh wow. Christmas is absolutely GORGEOUS in Singapore. Our town’s decorations aren’t up yet. I don’t think. They normally wait until after Thanksgiving for most of that stuff. But I did decorate MY room with lights last night
Haha.

Wow, that looks amazing! =D I LOVE Christmas, I get so excited.. I guess I just act like a kid, lol.
It all made me feel Christmassy anyway, haha.
Here in London they do the switch on of the Christmas lights in Oxford Circus and a few other places which is a big thing. They have celebrities switching on the lights (this year it was Jim Carrey, Colin Firth and Bob Hoskins) and they have performances going on as well, such as Peter Andre, The Saturdays etc.
It was quite good, and this year they also had a big carol sing-a-long to break a world record.
You always get shops playing Christmas songs as well and the big department stores have trees and decorations. One year I saw a three storey high christmas tree in a department store. It was HUGE!
The one thing over here that makes it officially ‘christmas’ though is when the coca-cola advert comes on the tv. That’s when people get really excited, haha! Simple things.

Oh, it’s winter at London now right? That makes it even more Christmasy with the snow and everything.
I haven’t hear any Christmas songs blasting from the shops yet. Maybe it will start in December. It’s still playing pop music recently.
This Christmas tree at Takashimaya is also about 3 to 4 storeys tall as well. Oh, Coca-Cola advertisement? What’s the connection with Christmas?

It doesn’t snow in London until February usually, though.
I’ve had friends screaming over Facebook recently about seeing coca cola adverts on TV, and delcaring that it therefore must be Christmas. Each year they play a Christmas advert that has lots of snow, lights and santa with a jingle saying ‘Holidays are Coming’ – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coca_cola#Holiday_campaigns

Oh, I thought it snows in December.
I see. I wonder why Coca Cola doesn’t have the holiday campaigns in Asia. We don’t often see advertisements specially targeted for Christmas in Singapore.
I wish I’ve the chance to pop up London during Christmas in the future. It’ll be nice to experience Christmas in another country.
