Happy Chinese New Year
A very Happy Chinese New Year to everyone. I hope this new year would bring about everything good for everyone of us and wish that you’ll have lots of red packets for your shopping trips and such.
Anyone saw the meta at the bottom of this post and realise that I’ve categorise this entry as Black Days too. That’s because I’m so unlucky to be down with a high fever of 38.6 Degrees Celsius, flu, sore throat and a very bad cough. I’m going to miss those new year goodies but nevertheless I went to “steal” some of those from the kitchen just now
.
I’m going over to my grandma’s which is my uncle house at the next block later for lunch. I’ve to skip all the soft drinks and sweets . It’s so unfair! Anyway, I feel that this year’s Chinese New Year was rather quiet, the atmosphere from the past seems to have gone. I just don’t have the enthusiasm which I had in the past. Does it happens to everyone that gets older or is it just me?
Because Chinese New Year is such a happy occasion. I released a new layout template for download. I think it’s simple and neat, basically it’s pure CSS and the layout does not uses any image at all. For those who like simplicity or have a limited domain space, feel free to throw me any comments or your hatred about that layout. I’m thinking of making it into a WordPress template, anyone second that?
The gathering with the gang went rather well although it didn’t go as plan. We were supposedly going to Marina for steamboat but went Jurong Point instead. Although there was a change of plans, the day went rather well too. We went to watch Fearless, the new movie by Jet Li. It was an NC 16 movie and my friends were so “bad”. They tease me about being the only one whom the ticket attendance would want to check my IC. One you-know-who-you-are guy commented that I look like a 15 year old and asked me how old I am. So I was like “Ahem, I’m only 2 years younger than you and exactly how old are you?”. He was 20 this year so there, I’m not 15
.
The movie was good, pretty nice. But some parts were gross – the bloody scenes and the part where they fight and someone had a broken bone. It was a very sad ending too. The main character died!!! Just went he had learn his mistakes and wanted to help the Chinese people. It was such a sad ending, his entire family died too . I don’t like the ending, I prefer happy endings but nevertheless I have to admit this movie is good. We went to Fiesta for dinner, I ordered insert-a-long-Japanese-name-here with eel and eggs, no idea what it’s called though. I don’t eat Japanese food very often, it was a good dinner. We were busy with our camera phones while waiting for our orders. Sharon, Ben and I walked home from Jurong Point at around 8, the air was cooling and it was a nice night to walk home, it took about an hour though but we chatted about loads of things during that hour. The hour wasn’t really enough for us to catch up with each other but it was better than nothing and I will remember those moments.

My common test 2 are over finally and all ready for Chinese New Year now. I just realise I forget to complete my Microeconomics assignment which is due just now at 6 in the evening. I was in the middle of a test so well, I’m getting a 0 for participation. They have all the test together with loads of assignments and project. How on earth am I going to finish all! I think I am going to fail the Oral Communication test today. I did studied but the weird timing of the test in the evening make my mind kind of blank. I’m sure I’ve studied those stuff but I just can’t recall them at all :ooh:. It’s making me so stress to think that I’m going to fail my first test. And I find it so ironic that they had a written paper for “Oral” Communications. It’s suppose to be teaching us effective communication skills and stuff like that. But a written paper? It’s kind of contradicting though.
I got the first MCQ wrong already. Which type of communication uses the least resources? The answer was effective and I wrote mutual. I can’t believe I never think of that. It’s suppose to teach us to be effective in communicating. Why didn’t I think of that! Anyway, I’m dead tired but can’t go to sleep. Maybe too excited for tomorrow’s gathering with my ex-classmates? I miss them, been a year since I graduated, time seems to pass very fast. It’s seems like only yesterday when we copied homework early in the morning, going to lunch together, chatting in class, struggling with our tests and stuff.
I’m so unlucky to be down with a cold – fever, cough, flu, sore throat when Chinese New Year is just around the corner. I wouldn’t want to imagine how much goodies I’ve to sacrifice.
I’ve got an ultra big ulcer too. But thinking on how many holidays I have, not a lot, basically about 4 days excluding tomorrow make me go “blink blink”
. It’s good to take a break from school once in a while and I needed one too.
