I went to IMM with my CATS group to IMM to complete our final prototype for next Wednesday presentation. We finally “nearly” completed it because the packaging is still not yet quite complete. Anyway, I was on bus 52 back to Jurong East Interchange when we saw a guy fall asleep quite soundly at the seat beside us. So, while we were alighting, we didn’t realise that he was still asleep. So after we got off the bus, the bus driver close the door and began driving off. It was then when my friend and I saw the guy still sleeping on the bus and we both burst out laughing. It was pretty funny and we saw him woke up when the bus drove off. A warning never to fall asleep on the bus; quite dangerous ;p.
I’m just here to show off our final product
. We’re so proud of it :hearts: It’s suppose to be a multi holder of all sorts but I think it looks more like a decorative item. Anyway, it has about 6 to 7 uses in all. This prototype is not cheap, just the materials alone cost slightly more than $40 which is considered expensive for just a sample product. We planned to use a role play to market our product, which is the presentation next Wednesday. All of us are praying for an A for this module – hard luck though. But I got tons of photos to show you my prototype
.
- A place to slot your pens, pencils etc
- A little photo frame
- A small compartment for little items like paper clips
- A “hanger” of some sort to clip your memos and notes.
- The upper “deck” is for the candle holder
- Able to hold earrings using the netting
- An area to slot your letters, postcards, timetable etc
Basically, that’s about all the stuff this holder could hold. We had decided to print our own photograph for the display as we need a sample photo so show during the presentation. We spend quite some time admiring our final product after finishing it. Quite proud of the design of the “hanger” because we had made it in such a way that it could be “hidden” from view when not in use. Actually it’s not all that fabulous but at least it’s something presentable to hand up
. I think there are already some similar products in the market though nevertheless each of them is unique so it doesn’t matter much I guess.

Stress? We were under a lot of stress to complete it ASAP for the presentation next week and our tutor only gave us a pathetic one week.
Actually each of us want one too but we only made one and could not remake because of budget. I’ll give you a minor version on your 18th birthday maybe?

Very cute!
I noticed the lacy cover is crochet, I notice everything that was crocheted now, you can’t believe it. :P I went to the shoe store and noticed a crochet flower on some shoes. And some bits at the toes of other shoes, those were crocheted too.
I’m going crochet-crazy. o.O
Great job on the multi-purpose holder thing, all the best!

That’s pretty funny about what happened to that boy. Whenever I rode thr bus, even if I was really tired, I made certain to never ever let my eyes close.
That a pretty neat and cute project you and our group have made!
It would make for a very nice desk accessory!
