your worst lecturer cannot be compared to this evil woman: catherine [full name removed by administrator]. she constantly brags about her achievements all the time, and nominates herself for her outstanding work (yuck!). the one that she is most prouf of is the poster session, which she calls highly innovative. that method is already used in high school a long time ago. she truly hates asians, even though she herself is an irish migrant, maybe something bad happens when she teaches in china. despite that, she knows that she got the job simply because of her experience teaching in china due to influx of students from china. because she’s such a loser, she will give the dumbest students the highest marks and the smart ones the lowest marks, because it’s such a rare chance to use her power in real life. she also likes to flirt with young cute boys, even though she herself is already middle-aged and married. often she will try to approach these boys, grin widely and chat them up. she really hates asian girls. once she tried to convince the cute boy she liked that they were nothing but evil sluts. that the cute boy did not like what he heard made her even more angry and resentful toward any asian girls. she is already complained to for her racist behavior, so to prove that she is not racist, she is increasing her collaboration with any asians, and makes sure that some asians in her class get really good marks. she is in deep financial constraint and this may explain her nasty behavior. even though she is not the only lecturers who discriminate against students, she’s the worst. she believes her position is secured and she can do whatever she likes to those lousy asian students. and because she’s loud and whines when she feels she’s being unjustifiably attacked, no teaching staff really dares to offend her. this is the real life mrs tingle!

awww… i know what you’re talking about (at the beginning of the entry) and yea I hope it never happens again..

I had the same problem with a certain lecturer of mine!!! OMG can understand ur pain…. Gah. And lecturers like these really make you hate the lesson and you might/might not do well because of it.. Hopefully you have great friends in that class who feel the same way, then you can watch out for each other..!

That sounds like the teacher from hell… well, maybe not that bad but he still sounds evil. I don’t understand why people become teachers if they are going to be a jerk. Aren’t you supposed to like your job?

Oh, and I really understand how you’re feeling about your lecturer. I had a Spanish teacher who was just like that. He never really answered our questions, and when he did, it wasn’t helpful, at all. If a student didn’t know the answer to a question, he would always say “We’ve seen this in class. You’re not listening when I talk”. Like you said, it’s not because I don’t know the answer that I’m not listening. Like you, I gave up asking questions in class. I asked a friend that speaks Spanish after class instead. We’ve filled something like 4 feedback forms in a year and he didn’t even take our feedback in consideration. We decided to “report” him to his boss and we have a new Spanish teacher. I hope everything turns out good for you, that he’ll either become nicer or that you’ll get a new lecturer (if that’s possible)

And to think of it, his salary is actually paid by you people who are attending his class. His attitude is not only unprofessional but also irresponsible. I know you loathe to hear this but I have a similar lecturer too – he would not stop bragging about how many doctors that graduated from NUS still consulted him for their medical research statistics. As if they have anointed him as a statistic god or something.

I guess people like him simply needs to feed off people’s misery in order to sustain their ballooning ego. Since my lecturer teaches something that is rather specialized, it’s rather hard to find a replacement and that probably explains why after so many complaints lodged by my seniors and senior’s seniors (and the list goes on), the school made no effort to replace that bigoted numbskull.

Aw I hate crazy teachers like that. I have had teachers like that in the past and unfortunately they have just been like that for so long there is nothing that you can do. We would just be little robots and talk after class about things we didn’t understand and then complain about him afterwards too haha.

I do love those tank tops though.

O yeah, the beginning of the year is definitely the most hectic time. Everybody is trying to adjust themselves to the new environment, new classes, new colleagues, etc.

I HATE THOSE kinds of lecturers dear! *hugz* No wonder you don’t seem too eager to go to class. I’d wanna drop that subject but being good girl, we can’t do anything

I also hate teachers with BIASES. Really now… sighs… I’ve had bad profs too. Howell. Good luck dear!! *hugz*
