I have been doing a lot of holiday shopping recently so I thought it’ll be a good idea to share some of my recent purchases. By the way, Singapore Watsons has launched a member’s card for fellow shoppers. I signed up yesterday, SGD 5 for lifetime membership. Although I would say the discounts ain’t fantastic but some of their monthly member prices looks pretty good. I do shop in Watsons occasionally so no harm getting the card for some of their good discounts. The points system is not impressive at all. We get 1 point for every $5 spend in the stores and 20 points is equivalent to $1 cash. It’s going to take a really long time to get that $1 cash redemption. The vouchers that come with the member card are not tempting even, mostly $1/$2 off certain brand products, I would rather wait for the storewide 20% sales at John Little.

Contact Lenses

Yes, I have finally gotten myself some contact lenses for the “Oh, I need to look pretty” day. Those are dallies that I wear during the weekends when I’m heading out. I’ll definitely stick to my glasses when I’m in school. These are not comfortable at all. I spend 1.5 hours at the optics learning how to put in and remove the soft lenses. The constant need to use eye drops and the price tags of those actually makes things worse. I got those at SGD 121 for 31 pairs of dallies which is equivalent to SGD 4 per pair which can only be worn for a day. Maybe I should get more boxes at a go next time so that it’s actually cheaper per pair.

Random cosmetics items from Sephora, The BodyShop and Gransenbon

I went to Sephora at Ion Orchard last week and got this shimmery dolly pink lip stick at SGD 24. It tasted like vanilla and is in the most gorgeous shade of pink. I love it! It wasn’t hydrating enough and I still need a layer of lip balm beneath but the colour is enough to make up for it. Next is the eye shadow from The BodyShop and Gransenbon blusher in #1 Lady Rose. I got the eye shadow redeemed with the member’s card. It was from the hot brights collection and I really need a wet brush to get a vibrant purple on my upper lids. I look like I’ve dark circles on my entire eye (aka a panda) if I’m using light purple. I still prefer brown or golden shades. Mental note to get those when I’m in Hong Kong next week.

You should have guessed I went Mustafa late last night. The place was so packed but I still managed to get something. So much for saying I won’t be spending there.

This is it! My loot from Mustafa. A 3 tier shelves with anti-slip mats in it for my makeup items. I won’t say I have a lot of makeup products but still I like to keep them neatly in the shelves instead of lying around the room collecting dust.

We went IMM late this afternoon. I was planning not to spend a cent however I realised my facial cleanser was running out. I’m still waiting for John Little to have their storewide 20% before purchasing my Nuxe 3 Roses Foaming Cleanser. I decided to grab the Mentholatum ACNES Creamy Facial Wash as an alternative while waiting for the sales. I flashed my student card for a 20% discount and got this cleanser for SGD 5.50. Let’s just hope it’s good and I don’t break out from it. I tried it just now and it’s extremely creamy but I think I might have used too much, it gives me the clean squeaky feel.

Things always spoils at the wrong time which means my ear phones died last week and so my wallet is lighter again after getting a new one. I shall end this shopping post with a panda bus I saw at Suntec the other day.

Oh and I managed to update all my WordPress plugins to the latest versions and redid nearly all the PNG images into GIF. I uploaded new files for the images so that they are smaller in size, this will cut down the graphics size by about 85kb. I hope this helps to reduce the loading time.
