Samsung Corby
I received my first Christmas gift of 2009 – A Samsung Corby from Chewy. It was an early gift as we wouldn’t be celebrating Christmas together this year. He’s going back home to Kuala Lumpur so I’ll be alone during Christmas.
Chewy seems to like the touchscreen of Corby. I can’t remember how many times I’ve said this but I am not a fan of touchscreen phones. I think I’ll need some time to get use to using such phones again because I spend 10 minutes trying to send an SMS this morning. I know I fail.
My friends from school highly preferred the Corby over my INQ mini. They are like “oh my gosh Dayna, your new phone looks great. Glad you decided to get a new one.” when they see me with my new phone in class. By the way, my INQ mini is still alive and I gave up my LG Viewty for adoption today. I’m going to miss it. So, back to the Corby… there are 3 colours – white, yellow and pink. There are also green and orange in Korea but somehow they didn’t bring those into Singapore. I like the orange and yellow one but Chewy is a fan of white and black phones so I got the white one. Even though I’m a huge fan of pink, I decided a universal colour will be better. It’s easier to sell it off in the future since not everyone is a fan of pink like me. On a totally random note, according to the korean drama, You’re Beautiful (which I’m so in love with), white stands for purity. It’s not a bad choice eh?

Mr Postman dropped by for a visit today and I received 2 packages. One was from lovely Kimoko and the other was from Gingerdip. I won Kimoko’s #9 Giveaway last week. She was really nice and gave me some additional skincare and cosmetics goodies as well. As some of you know, I’m such a skincare & make-up junkie so I’m overjoyed to have so many new products to try out.

I love receiving packages in the mail!

Little trinkets from Bangkok
No, I didn’t visit Bangkok but my Sissy did. And these are what she bought back as gifts for me.
Really adorable right? The pink dotted bunny is called Whimmy. She’s not a cry baby but I think it’s a nice name for her. A female? Yup, just because she’s pink!
Maybe I’ll make her the big star in my next layout. Anyway, I hung it on my bag and it looks like it’s bouncing when I’m carrying my backpack around. Oh yes, Dayna brings a backpack to school, it’s huge and spacious. The next one is a clothes hanger with my favourite animal, the panda. It’s more like a miniature one for hanging papers and lastly the keyring with my name imprinted on it.

Marked
I saw a new novel series House of Night at Popular bookstore about Vampires. It was displayed under the International best sellers so I grabbed one and read through the synopsis. It looks like the kind of book I would enjoy reading hence I got the first book of the series, Marked (added it to my library as well).
Does the cover reminds you of Twilight? No matter how I look at it, it screams “Twilight”. Chewy thought it was Twilight when he had a quick glance at the cover as well. Does all vampires novels look like this?
I am still waiting eagerly for the results of the WordPress Design Contest, I hope I manage to squeeze into the top 10 position though. For now, please help vote for AmourChaleur here and here if you happen to like my site. No pressure, don’t worry! And thanks if you did vote.
