Happy Feet

Posted in: Daily Life

I sneak off to Vivo City yesterday to watch Happy Feet, an extremely adorable movie for all ages so if you need a good laugh and entertainment, I strongly advice you to watch that. Anyway, I’m struggling with my common test which starts on next Saturday. Dayna is dying for the Christmas holidays to come although I haven’t got ready gifts. -_- On the list would be Mum, Dad, Sis, my buddies, him and I think that’s about it. By the way, anyone tried watching movies at Vivo? The queue is terrible, it stretch all the way to the Comics Collection shop yesterday. Thank goodness there was an AXS machine there and we got our tickets there to save the god-knows-how-long queue, but there was a booking fee of S$1 but I felt that it was worth it compared to queuing up at the booth.

Thanks for all the comments on the new layout, much appreciated. But it’s still incomplete has I still have some things in mind to add but haven’t found the time yet so be prepared to see m ore changes to it. On the other hand, I’m rather surprised that there are still people reading my blog since I haven’t been updating for quite some time due to school and slight bit of laziness. Behold my dallies, I’m coming! :D Okay, that comes out quite lame but I’ll be active here once again. I got back my “blogging mood”!

Back to some site issues, my contact form has been spam for quite some time so I was wondering if anyone has a solution to it. I am using a WordPress plugin for it and any other recommedation of better plugins with spam protection?

I went to watch part 3 of my all time favourite movie yesterday afternoon. Sad to say, I’m quite disappointed. The main lead all dead and the ending was sad. My favourite character from the show died at the first half hour of it! Anyway, I was surfing just now for information about using paypal with a POSB savings account and it was hard. The transferring of funds wasn’t easy either, so I might just stick to the payment methods as of now. For those who are interested in my services but does not reside in Singapore, the only method at the moment is to send the cash over in either Singapore or US dollars. But if anyone is willing to help me about paypal, do drop me an e-mail or something.

My questions:

  • Do we need VISA to have a paypal account? Some say yes, some say no. I don’t know. =x
  • I only have a POSB Savings Account, can I use paypal?
  • How can I transfer funds to my local POSB bank account?
  • Do I need to verfiy my account?

I might put up some layouts for sale too during my holidays. I already have some designs in mind to worked on :) My goal of the day is to finish my Finance up to chapter 4 (I haven’t started at all :omg: ) and try my best to remember everything from Audit up to chapter 3. I hope the test period is over soon. On the other hand, I manage to squeeze in a few minutes to update my WordPress to 2.0.3, I heard there was some security fix for it.

My Gmask Phone

Posted in: Shopping

I got my phone gmask at Plaza Singapura today. I took a long time to decide on the design and thank goodness he was patience. He was nice to pay for it as a gift. I choose a pink flowery design on both sides and the back of it with an additional layer of glitter (additional $10). I had actually wanted to have crystals on it but it is so costly at S$1.90 per crystal so I decided not to get it and I was very worried about it getting scratch and all that. It didn’t got any scratches and workmanship was an 8 out of 10. It was good but I am a perfectionist so I pick on a few of the mini flaws of the final product. He said that those flaws I picked on wasn’t obvious but it was to me. ;) One corner of it wasn’t really well done but it wasn’t obvious at all unless you are looking at it within 5cm. The circle part of the camera wasn’t really circle. Other than that I think it’s pretty. :)

We went to watch Mission Impossible 3 at the new cinema at Orchard today too. Very action packed and it was pretty good. :) The cinema is beautiful and have a very Chinese oriented theme. I didn’t manage to get my bag though, there wasn’t enough time for shopping but we had lunch at Cafe Cartel and the good was all right. Expensive and nothing too special about it. The service charge was at 10% when we had to wait for more than 30 minutes for a set lunch when the cafe was only 30% full. I can’t imagine eating there when it’s packed!
