Little trinkets from Bangkok

Little trinkets from Bangkok

No, I didn’t visit Bangkok but my Sissy did. And these are what she bought back as gifts for me. Really adorable right? The pink dotted bunny is called Whimmy. She’s not a cry baby but I think it’s a nice name for her. A female? Yup, just because she’s pink! :D Maybe I’ll make her the big star in my next layout. Anyway, I hung it on my bag and it looks like it’s bouncing when I’m carrying my backpack around. Oh yes, Dayna brings a backpack to school, it’s huge and spacious. The next one is a clothes hanger with my favourite animal, the panda. It’s more like a miniature one for hanging papers and lastly the keyring with my name imprinted on it.

Marked

Marked

I saw a new novel series House of Night1 at Popular bookstore about Vampires. It was displayed under the International best sellers so I grabbed one and read through the synopsis. It looks like the kind of book I would enjoy reading hence I got the first book of the series, Marked (added it to my library as well). :) Does the cover reminds you of Twilight? No matter how I look at it, it screams “Twilight”. Chewy thought it was Twilight when he had a quick glance at the cover as well. Does all vampires novels look like this? :?:

I am still waiting eagerly for the results of the WordPress Design Contest, I hope I manage to squeeze into the top 10 position though. For now, please help vote for AmourChaleur here and here if you happen to like my site. No pressure, don’t worry! And thanks if you did vote. :)

Yes, finally a new layout. Please say hello to Bim Bim. He’s the panda in this new layout and the current mascot of Amour Chaleur. :) I finally manage to finish drawing and coding this layout after a whole month. Kawaiiness has been up for nearly 4 months and I think it’s time for a change. This entry will be dedicated to my little one. It went through lots of changes before finalising on this design. In this final version, he’s wearing an artist cap and holding onto a paintbrush. Originally, he’s wearing a blue wholly hat and holding onto his bamboo stick. I can’t find the PSD file which has the old design, I might have override it. :green: So why the name Bim Bim? No particular reason though. I suddenly thought of it while I was studying for my exams and find it quite adorable and suitable for this little panda. I must confess that his house, also known as the “House of Panda” is slightly distorted. I draw it over from a photo of a Japanese tea house even though it look more like a traditional Chinese house. Well, technically speaking, pandas are from China. ;)

There’s isn’t anything happening in my life now. My life feels so unrealistic. I blame it on my studies, it labels me as a person without a life which I can experience and love. I’ll continue with this story another day. I’ve a strong urge to post about all the wows and woos on the Internet (personal opinion, please be caution), internet browsers, copying comments to the clipboard, captcha issues and here goes… :surprised:

Google Chrome

Google Chrome

I downloaded Google Chrome yesterday. The interface was surprising light and sleek. Loading was pretty fast for me as well which is a plus point. However, at the moment I feel that it isn’t comparable with Firefox due to the lack of add-ons available. It is those add-ons that make Firefox so convenient and a pleasure to use. I still hadn’t figured out why some many people (specifically 12.2% of my overall visitors) are still using Internet Explorer 6. I’m only complaining because my layout looks screw up in IE 6 and I don’t plan to fix it. I tested mine on Google Chrome and thankfully it looks normal as well. We should be moving forward, there’s a new version so the old one should be presuming flawed. I understand that IE 7 is slow for many people. That’s why we should be using an “environmental” friendly browsers like Firefox and not the devil. Pollution is not good for the environment, ya?
